Value Analytics Labs (www.valueanalyticslabs.com) is a health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and value-focused analytics firm supporting life sciences organizations across evidence generation, value strategy, and market access. We work closely with pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare organizations to address complex evidence and access challenges through rigorous analytics and practical, decision-oriented solutions.
In addition to our consulting practice, Value Analytics Labs offers ValueGen.AI (www.ValueGen.ai), a market-ready, AI-driven platform actively sold to HEOR and Market Access teams. ValueGen.AI enables organizations to rapidly identify, synthesize, and interpret complex evidence across sources to support value strategy, evidence generation, and access planning. The platform is commercially available and offered both as a standalone solution and in combination with our consulting services.
We are now expanding our commercial efforts and are seeking a driven business development / sales professional to grow both our HEOR consulting portfolio and ValueGen.AI product revenue.
The Role
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning the commercial motion end-to-end: identifying targets, opening doors, shaping offers, running discovery, building proposals, negotiating, and closing. You’ll work closely with our leadership and delivery team to convert opportunities into long-term client relationships—across both service engagements and product subscriptions.
What You’ll Own
A) Sell ValueGen.AI (SaaS product)
- Own the full sales cycle for ValueGen.AI: positioning, discovery, demos (with team support), pilots/POCs, procurement, close, renewals/expansion
- Collaborate with product/leadership to refine Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), messaging, packaging, and pricing
- Gather structured customer feedback to inform roadmap and improve conversion
- Develop partner/referral channels where relevant (consultancies, solution partners, industry networks)
B) Grow HEOR consulting revenue (projects)
- Identify, prospect, and open new client relationships in pharma/biotech/medtech and related health organizations
- Convert inbound and outbound leads into qualified opportunities
- Shape scope and commercial terms with the team; lead proposal development and pricing discussions
- Close consulting projects (e.g., evidence generation, value strategy, economic modeling, RWE support, market access/HTA-related work—aligned to our capabilities)
- Build and manage a repeatable pipeline process (e.g., CRM, forecasting, deal stages)
Ideal Background
We’re open to different profiles, but you should bring strong B2B commercial skills and comfort selling into life sciences / HEOR-adjacent stakeholders.
Required / strongly preferred:
- 3–8+ years in business development / sales in life sciences, HEOR, market access, RWE, health analytics, or adjacent consulting/services
- Demonstrated success selling consulting engagements and/or B2B SaaS (bonus if you’ve done both)
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders (Director/Head level and above) and run structured discovery
- Strong written communication (proposals, follow-ups, deal notes) and negotiation skills
- Self-starter mindset—comfortable building pipeline without heavy enablement
Nice to have:
- Existing network across HEOR/market access leaders, evidence generation teams, or commercial/medical stakeholders
- Experience selling into enterprise procurement and navigating compliance/security reviews
- Familiarity with HEOR deliverables and buyer pain points (e.g., evidence planning, value strategy, modeling, dossiers, HTA support)
What Success Looks Like (first 3–6 months)
- Build a qualified pipeline covering both product and service opportunities
- Close first set of product subscription/pilots and/or initial consulting engagements
- Establish repeatable outbound motion (target list, messaging, cadence, conversion metrics)
- Tight collaboration loop with delivery + product teams to improve win rates
Compensation
- Competitive base + performance-based commission
- Equity options might be available in the longer term
